Come EXPLORE urban nature and draw what you see at a hands-on science exhibit from Street Lab/UNI Projects on the plaza at Putnam Triangle! EXPLORE NYC is a FREE experience for kids of all ages that brings the exploration of urban nature to the streets. Some of the fun activities and elements include specimens to explore, like rocks, feathers, bones, moss, water samples, and bird study-skins from Washington Square Park Eco Projects; microscopes and magnifying glasses; and water-color pencils, brushes, and instructions about techniques of biological drawing.

This is the first of three consecutive Friday afternoon appearances in Putnam Triangle Plaza by Street Lab/UNI Project’s EXPLORE program; be sure to mark your calendars and tell a friend, family member or caregiver about upcoming dates! It’s a fab way to spend a Friday afternoon in the fall!

The Street Lab/UNI Project visit is made possible by a partnership with HYPOTHEkids and funding from Con Edison and Science and the Public, with in-kind support from NYC DOT. This program is made possible citywide in part by public funds from the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs in partnership with the City Council.
