FAB Biz Blast – May 2023

LET’S KICK OFF SUMMER TOGETHER!

Mark your calendars for the final Merchant Mixer of the fiscal year, and be ready to meet us outside! On Tuesday, June 27, we’ll swing back over to the Fort Greene end of the district and break bread in the amazing backyard space at Forma Pasta Factory (5 Greene).

Join us for breakfast — and in keeping our fingers crossed for a lovely, sunny morning! We’ll once again nosh and catch up with each other before the summer gets going strong. Come for camaraderie and connection, stay for information and insight! Look for formal invitations and more details soon, in your email box and at your store, but in the meantime, save the date and time (8:30 – 10:30 am) and make plans to attend!

TRASH FINES BEGIN MAY 1

NYC Sanitation has changed the usual time for placing trash, recycling, and compost out at the curb for collection.

Under the new rules, businesses must:

✅ Place waste out after 8:00 pm if putting bags directly on the curb, or

✅ If using a container with a secure lid, place waste at the curb one hour before closing. Containers must be removed from the curb by the time your business reopens.

*Does not apply to businesses that have waste collected from a loading dock.

Find all the details about the new set-out times here.
