Exercise your creative chops at ART360º / CLINTON HILL on Saturday, September 9 from 12 noon to 5 pm; there’s a fun day planned full of art and activities for all to enjoy!
Bring the whole family out to Jitu Weusi Plaza (Fulton St. and Grand Ave.) for art-inspired activities like arts and crafts with Brooklyn Public Library, and a glass-blowing demonstration and hands-on beading session with Urban Glass! The littlest ones can climb aboard a colorful DSNY Art Truck for a photo op and take home a free coloring book, as well as choose an art-themed book from Brooklyn Book Bodega. Try your hand at a little street art, making sidewalk murals with StreetLab, or visit their DRAW lab for creative prompts to get you started on a masterpiece of your own! DJ Des One will help us get the party started with a little music to make art to! And more!
And there will be lots of art to see! Stop by the FAB table in Jitu Weusi Plaza to pick up a guide map, or grab one in advance from different spots around the district and plot your course of discovery: the map highlights existing street art in the neighborhood, as well as new works, some of which might even be in progress! FAB FULTON has commissioned a few local artists to execute original temporary artworks on select small business storefronts just for this event.
