Ring, ring, the ’90s are calling!
Go back, way back — 30 years — to 1996, when a certain superstar ball player and a wascally rabbit kicked off an entire genre of flicks featuring athletes and characters. This ain’t Space Jam; instead it’s “Kazaam!”
Already distraught by his mother’s impending marriage, 12-year-old Max Connor’s (Francis Capra) complicated life gets even worse when he becomes the target of a group of school bullies. While hiding from them in an abandoned building, he accidentally opens the door on a battered boom box, freeing a 7-foot, 3,000-year-old genie (Shaquille O’Neal) who will grant him three wishes.
